A bit more about me
Curiosity, mostly.
I'm Ian, a Statistics student at Cornell. I like questions that don't fit neatly into one field.
I'm interested in how data can help us understand things—from biological systems to the technologies we use and the decisions businesses make.
Right now, that means studying statistics and working on computational biology research. Along the way, I've also spent time on AI systems and evaluation, statistical consulting, and exploratory projects.
What I'm focused on
Building a stronger statistical foundation, asking useful research questions, and getting better at connecting technical work to the world outside a dataset.
A few places I've worked
Beyond the work
This site is also a place for travel notes, things I'm reading, and miscellaneous observations that don't need to be part of a project. There's more to a person than a list of things they've done.
Let's keep in touch.
